Next Up (Yo, I believe that’s Termanology)

Under the tutelage of Statik Selektah, Massachusetts native Termanology has quietly honed his lyrical dexterity, and on September 30th he will deliver his highly anticipated Politics As Usual to the thirsty masses. The album is a who's who of notable producers including the likes of DJ Premier, The Alchemist, Hi-Tek, Pete Rock and Large Professor. With a handful of guest features, this 13-track album will surely cement Termanology's ingenuity on the MIC. I remember watching and hearing him for the first time at the Knitting Factory sometime last year, spitting his Preemo signature scratch-laced classic Watch How It Go Down, and I instantaneously thought of Pun. No disrespect to Pun (Dead in the middle of little Italy/ Little did we know that we riddled some middleman who didn't know didily) but there stood a lyricist who could damn well fill his shoes if he so wished. If the rap game was solely about respect and acclaim from your peers and knowledgeable audiences alike; Term, the self proclaimed holy resurrection of Pun, would have already won- but sadly it is still about the numbers.
