Since the 90's Planet Asia has steadily continued to churn out quality music from the West with East Coast appeal. In so doing the Fresno-bred emcee has deservedly been given the title, "Mos Def of the Left", primarily because of clever lyrics fortified with Black consciousness. Also known as King Medallions, he is slated to release a collaborative album, Pain Language, on September 16th with DJ Muggs of Cypress Hill acclaim. Notable features include, GZA (Protools is pure fiyah- Back to the Lyrics-101), B-Real and Killah Priest. For those who don't know Jason Green goes by Planet Asia because he believes earth as we know it started in Asia and will end there, "Asia is the Mecca and we call Africa Asia". He feels by adopting this moniker he represents the "beginning and end of civilization".
