Undergods
In spite of the pitfalls attributed with the music industry, Canibus and Keith Murray have still managed to stay afloat through all the turbulence. Though their music releases have been few and far between, their histories tends to be associated with a passion for lyricism which ultimately garners them the respect of true hip-hop listeners. 2009 finds these industry veterans in what seems like a last-ditch effort by forming an alliance in the form of The Undergods. On September 29th, The Undergods released a 7-track EP of the same name. It serves as an appetizer for their debut, In Gods We Trust, Crush Microphones To Dust, which is due out in the first quarter of 2010. The EP features production from The Green Eye Bandit and The Beatminerz to name a few, as well as verses from Tech N9ne and Crooked I. Though the production on this EP could have been better on a majority of tracks, it sporadically throws lyrical punches that come so fast, their [n*ggas/listeners] hearts end up on the right side of their chests.
