In my mind the deserved following Little Brother amassed while making their rounds on the Chittlin Circuit was quickly exhausted when three became two. I am not saying that Phonte and Rapper Big Pooh are less than capable artists (although some will beg to differ Phonte>>> Rapper Big Pooh); but 9th undeniably provided this duo with an otherwise intangible element. Little Brother’s fourth and final album, LeftBack, will be available on April 20th via Hall of Justus (sans 9th wonder production of course). It features production from the likes of Khyrsis, Denaun Porter amongst others; and features the lyrical stylings of Torae, Truck North, Chaudon and Median to name a few. The artwork for this album features a backdrop revealing LB’s previous album covers, press clippings accumulated throughout their career. According to Rapper Big Pooh, “We wanted the fans to have that moment of nostalgia when looking at this artwork… You are able to take a quick journey from the beginning of our careers to the end as Little Brother by glancing at the artwork.”
